thoughts adrift and unheard
images of vibrant yellows, oranges, reds
shadowy and unfettered by words
my inner self brightens
vibrating with a scorching heat
needful wants and desires
drowning out background noises
harsh beatings of my heart afire
wishing the mind to still
the heart to feel
the body to pulse
opening myself to this
restless and hungry
nothing and nobody else
